A Perfect Union Art Gallery proudly invites the community to experience "Afterimage", a thought-provoking exhibition curated by Hend Al-Rijab as part of our Global Heritage Series, celebrating the cultures and artistic voices of the Middle East and North Africa.

What remains after the moment has passed?

An afterimage is the trace that lingers after seeing—a memory, an emotion, a presence that refuses to disappear. Through painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, installation, poetry, and spoken word, Afterimage explores the powerful themes of memory, perception, identity, absence, and what persists beyond the visible.

This compelling exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the experiences, emotions, and cultural connections that continue to shape us long after they leave our sight.

Curated by artist Hend Al-Rijab, Afterimage brings together works that explore the blurred spaces between memory and reality, clarity and ambiguity, presence and absence. The exhibition encourages us to consider the traces we carry with us—the unresolved, the remembered, and the deeply felt.
