Patricia Isabella Byron was born in Naples, Florida, to a Canadian Irish/English father and Honduran-Italian mother. From an early age, her exposure to the arts became well rooted while growing up in her parents’ antiques shop. Her curiosity of exotic countries landed the artist to reside in Turkey and Iran. During her travels throughout Europe and the Middle East, she became so captivated by the natural beauty and historical sites, that she was compelled to paint and write about her experiences. The communication conveyed through her abstract paintings is a spiritual motivation, where the subject matters are a mood-evoking interplay of emotions and symbolic reflections. While living in Tehran, Byron studied at Tehran University, School of Persian Studies & Culture, and was a writer for the British Library Ladies group. Patricia Byron is a Painting & Drawing faculty member and Painting & Drawing Program Manager at Crealdé School of Art where she was a recipient of the Fellowship Student and Studio Artist programs. She has been a volunteer for the ABCs Art Program at the Coalition for the Homeless, art instructor at the Boys and Girls Club of John Bridges Community Center and Maxey Community Center. She is also a current member of the Florida & NYC Chapters of Women’s Caucus for Art.
“As an artist, I strive to interpret my visions of tranquility and harmony from brush to canvas. I am intrigued with the movement and dimensional complexity that can form with paint. My process usually begins with mark-making by using charcoal, pouring paint and then allowing them to collide onto the canvas. Through my paintings, I aim to release a lyrical-almost poetic introspective journey where the visual meets the emotional. Ultimately, I caress the treasure of memories into my work for the viewer to experience. Overall, I am grateful to have experienced my travels and encounters with diverse cultures-for without them I would not have emerged as an artist or writer”

As an artist, there is no greater pleasure for me than finding genuine growth and improvement in my projects. As I have grown and matured, so has my art. My priority is to create a better understanding and address the elephant in the room. Political and other social issues. As an artist, I alone cannot change society for the better, but I can only transform my own consciousness into my work to inspire others. The goal is to add a little seed of love, unity, and peace within everyone

Everett Spruill b. 1954 Birmingham, AL. - American painter, photographer and printmaker. Everett Spruill attended Berea College, (class of 76) where he majored in Business. Born in a creative household where classical music and piano lessons were the norm, Everett was drawing and painting at a very early age. The Birmingham Museum of Art would prove to have a great influence on his artistic development. Spending lots of afternoons in the Museum drawing the artifacts fueled his fascination with all things African and helped to shape his direction of all his future creations. It was during this time that he painted loose water colors of landscapes and portraits in the tradition of the French Impressionist, but didn’t seriously entertain the idea of a career in the arts. While managing a Hotel in Miami, and with frequent visits to the Miami Museum, a Picasso exhibition changed his mind as he was inspired by the simplicity and the grandeur of the work and the geometric patterns that formed the images. After relocating to Orlando, Spruill took up painting seriously and it was after two accidental paintings that he found his success. Known as The Old School Jazz and Blues series Everett created collages, inspired by Romare Bearden, out of magazine cut outs. From that time on Spruill consistently developed his increasingly complex variations of recycled and repurposed materials focusing on Jazz as a central theme. Spruill constantly challenges himself to source new materials and expand his range of materials. His first radical shift came in 1997, when he combined the principals of serigraphy and graffiti techniques, using spray paint with hand cut stencils. It was around this time as well that he created his first abstract collages with recycled materials with which he became an acknowledged master. During the following decade, Spruill introduced digital materials into his art, which he came to call "" painting for its sculptural qualities. From the mid-1980's to the mid-1990's, Spruill created a large body of work that responded in a general way to his love of stained glass. During this time, the increasingly mixture of recycled paper and spray paint paintings gave way to full three-dimensionality, with sculptural forms derived from cones, pillars, French curves, waves, and decorative architectural elements. To create these works, the artist used collages that were then enlarged and re-created with the aid of digital technologies. In the 1990's, Spruill began making freestanding sculptures for public spaces and developing architectural projects. Still residing in Orlando Florida today with his many accolades, Everett Spruill prints and paintings are most famous for his work in the areas of cubism and graffiti infused painterly abstraction.

A writer must write, a painter must paint, a sculptor must sculpt and a photographer must develop photographs. Artists have something inside of them that has to come out. So much of what we do is to address a need or a problem or to sooth some pain. We have a perspective to share and insight to enlighten others with. It must get out and when it does, it's genuine, it's healing, it's a cathartic release. When we have a platform, when our work is appreciated, when it sells or when they understand, it is fulfilling and it is confirmation. The artists selected for this gallery are among the finest artists and human beings the world has to offer. They all have something unique, important and special to share. This was my journey when I created “A Perfect Union: Horn of Unity”.
“Healthy nations strive to become A More Perfect Union, seeking justice, liberty, peace and tranquility. This piece IS a perfect union, of art, nature, form and function. A symbol for the achievement of core ideas.” This functional artwork re-imagines the US flag on purple mountain majesty, sounding for stronger democracy and greater unity. -Gareth Edwards
This stands as encouragement for all nations to work towards becoming a more perfect union, as written in our constitution. Because of greed, corruption, despotism, hate, extremism, ego and the pursuit of power, few nations are on this path. This situation is underscored by the horrible realities occurring everyday in Ukraine and other parts of the world. We must fight against this.
"A Perfect Union" is not for sale, but it is for public consumption. Every Friday at 6pm, guests of the gallery can hear this powerful horn sound off for peace, for unity and for a more perfect union.
Equally important is the fact that the health of our planet can use a little help from us. Climate change is real and ocean pollution is a big problem. Scientists predict that by the year 2050, there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish. This is why I created “Guardian of the Deep”....
“Guardian of the Deep addresses the growing need for us to unite against pollution in our oceans. This functional form shows the beauty and peace of our oceans on one side and a threat on the other. In the form of a vengeful angry octopus, it captures the alter ego mindset needed to invoke real change.” We must all become Guardians of the Deep.
A Perfect Union Art Gallery is all about promoting unity at all levels. Celebrating culture and diversity helps us to understand each other better and sets us on a path to greater unity. This is the reasoning behind the unity art series. Unity art is handmade limited edition wearable art for families, groups and individuals. They include necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Visit the gallery, or the online store for the unique selections created each week. Browse the collection of original, timeless art and support our artists. Thank you for being a part of A Perfect Union Art Gallery.
